“High” and “low” pitch are not universal; sometimes there are crocodiles

This article describes how musical pitch is conceptualized in various cultures/languages. A few frameworks:

• named for people (grandmother, father, etc.)

I love learning more about how language shapes our understanding of the world, and how learning other/additional languages (or even just frames from those languages) can expand my understanding.
